Yeah, it seems when the weather starts to turn colder out comes the yarn, the hooks and the knitting needles. I found a darling pattern on Ravelry.com.  I immediately thought of the hubby and HAD to make them.  I am doing it in this wonderful stretchy yarn called Stretch Socks by Patons. It’s turning out to be an ugly odd shaped sock when no foot is in it.  I am not sure I like it when my foot is in it. The jury is still out and I guess I will have to finish one before I decide to frog it or not and start over.  We’ll see.

Today was a good day.  Pink has issues with reading and writing and some math issues, BUT, for the first time, there was a special education teacher at the cyber school my children are enrolled in who listened to what I know will help my child!  Of course this is going to be a pain in the ass for me this year as we’ll have to make the hour trip to the school and back once a week so she can have special one on one time with her reading/math teacher, but I am just going to have to deal with it, and so will the husband.  But it’s all good!  The meeting we should have had over a year ago was kind of “forced” on us, but I am very, very happy with the results.  It’s a good day when Pink doesn’t have prophetic dreams of me turning into a wolf and devouring the teacher!  All is much MUCH happier in my home today.  Pink is less stressed and had a smile on her face when she finished taking a test that had her in tears the night before.  I like kid smiles!  They make me happy

…love me.  That’s all I ask of you.

What could be more romantic than that?

Gotta love Phantom of the Opera.  It came to town and my mommy loves me enough that she took me to see it.
