I have been doing a lot of thinking today about my kids, and I have decided that this summer they need to go to summer day camp. I think it will do a few things. One, will be to make sure they get outside to play every day, and the other would be to get the kids out from under foot for a season. I love my kids, but being a stay-at-home-mom and a homeschooler doesn’t leave me very much time for myself, so, I think I have the fix. My local YMCA has a day camp program, and it will get them out and with other kids more than they currently are. In short, it will be good for all of us.
I have talked to the husband, and we both agree that it would be a good thing for them. He told me after I talked to him about it that he was expecting something like this to happen this year. I am so happy to have a husband who understands that sometimes I just need to be alone for a while. It helps me to clear my head and get things done around that house that are difficult to do with kids underfoot. I can’t wait for summer. I know, it’s a little strange, most parents can’t wait for the new school year, but I will be just the opposite of everyone else, lol, and when am I not? It seems that I have a contrary streak in me. This is going to be a good summer, and I might even have a day or two where the house is actually clean for more than twenty seconds.
